I'm in Here 02:32

about

In the spring of 2011, marking the release of the album Love Me For Who I Am, the Lil Band and I performed a string of celebratory concerts featuring new songs and classic fan favorites. A special show happened one inspired morning in Brooklyn, NY at Southpaw, an intimate rock club transformed from a .99 cent store. The Little Band, joined by funky saxophonist Dan Myers, was chuggin' on all cylinders!

Here's what reviewers have had to say about our live shows:

"The Mrs. And I turned to each other after the final chord stopped reverberating and said "that was the best kids' show we've ever seen."
-Jeff Bogle, Out With The Kids

"As good as they sound on CD, they are even better in person. Terrific musicianship, joyous stage presence and interaction."
- John Wood, Kidzmusic

We bring everything we've got to our shows, so we are very excited to share this joyful live performance with you! The tracks are pure Lil Band - sunny, bright, optimistic, tight, poppin', funky, funny, catchy, sweet and warm.

We also include a bonus track, "I'm In Here," a new song honoring Autism Awareness Month. For more than a decade, I've played music and worked with children with autism and other special needs; this song was inspired by the kids I've met and the challenges they face. I'll let the note I received from Keir, a student at Celebrate the Children School, introduce the song:

"The ideas that are trapped in my head are so huge. We understand everything that is going on even if it seems like we are not paying attention. Please teach the world that we think very intelligently but we are bound by our bodies."
